TotalEnergies and Aljomaih Win Bid for 400 MW Solar Plant in Saudi Arabia

TotalEnergies and Aljomaih Energy & Water Company have secured approval from the Saudi Power Procurement Company to develop a 400 MW solar PV project in the As Sufun area of Hail Province, as part of Round 6 of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Programme. The project will operate under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement and is scheduled to start supplying power to the grid by 2027.

Once online, the facility will generate enough clean electricity to power over 68,000 homes, supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 target of expanding renewable energy to nearly half of its total power capacity. This project strengthens TotalEnergies’ growing portfolio in the Kingdom—where it already runs a 119 MW solar plant—and reinforces Aljomaih’s role as a key player in the country’s utility sector.
