PUMA is stepping up its sustainability efforts with the launch of the #KnowYourStuff campaign, which highlights the company’s commitment to using alternative materials to traditional leather. As part of its ongoing strategy, PUMA is integrating sustainable, innovative alternatives like mushroom leather (mycelium), apple leather made from fruit waste, and recycled polyester into its products. These materials offer an eco-friendlier approach to fashion, helping to reduce reliance on animal products and lower the brand’s carbon footprint, all while maintaining the quality and durability customers expect.
In addition to these materials, PUMA is exploring the use of algae-based leather and plant-based synthetics that are biodegradable, non-toxic, and less energy-intensive to produce. The #KnowYourStuff campaign is part of PUMA’s commitment to make 90% of its products more sustainable by 2025. By diversifying its material sourcing and promoting transparency, PUMA is empowering consumers to make more informed choices about the environmental impact of their fashion purchases, while paving the way for a more sustainable and circular fashion industry.
