To support this growth, India is focusing on developing cutting-edge biomanufacturing technologies, with a focus on reducing carbon footprints and advancing sustainable industrial practices.
India’s efforts also include fostering a circular bioeconomy and promoting regenerative biomanufacturing, which will play a crucial role in achieving the country’s net-zero emissions target. Through initiatives like the National Biopharma Mission, which has already supported over 100 projects and 30 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), India is creating a robust foundation for its green transition.
