The company combines satellite imagery, artificial intelligence, GPS mapping, and geolocation data to monitor farms producing commodities such as cocoa, coffee, palm oil, and rubber. These tools allow ofi to detect forest loss, verify whether suppliers comply with no-deforestation commitments, and identify high-risk areas in near real time. The digital monitoring system supports the company’s efforts to meet increasingly stringent regulations, including the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which requires companies to prove that imported commodities are not linked to deforested land.
The company has mapped hundreds of thousands of farms across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, improving traceability from farm to customer while helping smallholder farmers adopt more sustainable practices.
