Green or not to be Green- The dream of a green Paris Olympics is in jeopardy as organizers reverse their decision on air conditioning. The Paris 2024 Olympic Games were initially heralded as the most environmentally sustainable in Olympic history. However, the ambitious sustainability plans are facing challenges as organizers have now ordered 2,500 air-conditioning units. The Paris Olympic Village, which was originally designed to operate without traditional air conditioning, incorporates a geothermal cooling system.
